During each of our two-week sessions, campers choose multiple studios that fall within our four core disciplines. With access to various studios and outdoor spaces, all the tools and inspiration possible are right at our fingertips. Whether you go deeply into a chosen art form or you try something for the first time, you’ll grow as an intentional artist and amazing human being.
Campers focus on drawing, painting, installation and three-dimensional self-guided projects and artist-led assignments. Constantly pushing themselves while having fun, spending time with friends, and reflecting individually, campers work at their own pace, focusing on the creative process and the thoughts behind their art.
Studios: drawing and painting; ceramics; digital photography; mixed media
Choreography and original creation are at the center of our dance program. All the fun of camp is combined with a strong foundation of technical work, with the ultimate challenge of turning questions into motions.
Studios: contemporary choreography; hip-hop; strength and conditioning
The core of our music program is songwriting. Vocalists and instrumentalists alike receive individualized attention while working as a band to perform original and pre-arranged works. Campers dive deeper into their chosen instruments while being challenged to try new instruments, voice, and collaboration.
Studios: songwriting; rock band; musical theater, instrumental ensemble
Creating, imagining, and working together, campers craft their own solo and ensemble theater pieces. Using existing texts as inspiration, campers learn to write, direct, and act in theater projects as unique as they are. With expert guidance, campers are exposed to a wide range of acting techniques and theater styles.
Studios: acting and scene study; improv comedy; creative writing
We are committed to supporting and celebrating each camper’s process of creation. With that in mind, there is no audition process for Havaya Arts.
Havaya Arts is a truly extraordinary place—you will feel part of something bigger than yourself, and you’ll want to experience that magic year after year.
